THE COURSE
LUXURY HAS
ITS OWN RULES.
Moving into luxury from a mainstream sector can be disorienting. The signals, vocabulary and unwritten rules are different. Pace matters. Silence matters. The way you present expertise, manage personal boundaries and respond to a client can signal that you belong, or reveal that you do not yet understand the environment.
Competence alone is not enough. You can know your product, perform your role well and still misjudge what a luxury client is communicating, what they expect from the interaction or why an apparently small detail changes their perception of the entire experience.
This course gives you the behavioural foundation the sector often assumes but rarely explains. You will learn what separates luxury from premium, how affluent clients think and signal, and how recognition, status, control, reassurance and identity influence the way they behave and buy.
By the end, you will understand not only what to do in a luxury setting, but why it works. That understanding gives you the confidence to adapt rather than imitate, and the credibility to operate without looking as though you are trying to belong.
WHO IT IS FOR
NEW TO LUXURY.
Designed for people entering luxury who do not want to learn its unwritten rules through avoidable mistakes. No previous luxury experience is required. The course builds the vocabulary, behavioural awareness and client understanding that help you become credible more quickly.
- New hires who need to understand the environment around the role
- Professionals moving from mainstream retail, hospitality, sales or service
- Career changers who want to enter interviews and new roles with sector fluency
BY THE END
ENTER LUXURY
WITH CREDIBILITY.
Recognise the unspoken codes of luxury settings without signalling that you are new to them.
Interpret what a high-net-worth client is signalling, withholding and seeking beneath the surface request.
Adjust your language, pacing and presence across different luxury-client types.
Build trust from the first meeting and remain composed when a client is demanding or testing you.
Explain luxury purchasing behaviour through established psychology rather than guesswork.
WHAT YOU WILL COVER
THE CODES
BEHIND LUXURY.
The course contains six modules and approximately 50 short lessons, followed by a final CPD assessment. It moves from the meaning of luxury to client psychology, sales, professional presence, resilience and bespoke experience.
01UNDERSTANDING LUXURY
What separates luxury from premium, why the distinction matters and what luxury clients are actually paying for. Explore heritage, scarcity, quiet and loud luxury, and the sensory and cultural codes that define the category.
02PSYCHOLOGY OF THE LUXURY CLIENT
How recognition, status, control and reassurance shape client decisions. Understand the patterns behind the behaviour and why a demanding client may be communicating a different need beneath the surface.
03PRINCIPLES OF LUXURY SALES
How luxury sells: desire without pressure, trust as the conversion mechanism and narrative as a tool. Develop the questioning, listening and pacing that distinguish a luxury conversation from a mainstream one.
04LANGUAGE, PRESENCE AND BEHAVIOUR
How to carry yourself in luxury settings through presence, micro-behaviours, body language and energy management. Learn when to speak, when not to and the difference between confidence and showmanship.
05PROFESSIONALISM AND RESILIENCE
Build rapport across client types, follow up well and hold the relationship between visits. Learn to manage disappointment, demanding behaviour and testing moments without losing composure or the client.
06CREATING BESPOKE CLIENT EXPERIENCES
How personalisation actually works in luxury: understanding individual preferences, anticipating needs, attending to detail and coordinating the team behind an experience the client does not have to request.
CPD EXAM
50 questions across all six modules. An 80% pass mark, with three attempts.
